Jay Schmetz lives in Guyton, a small town outside of Savannah, GA. He resides with his wife and three children out in the country on a small animal sanctuary. The animals consisting presently of one sheep, four goats, 12 pigs, three cats and two dogs, became a source of inspiration and he’s been painting animals in human scenarios with his various themes ever since. Jay studied painting and received a Masters from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
